Co-President - Anne Alexander and Amber Weitz
-Two 2-year positions with offset starting years - Presides over all regular and Executive Board meetings, prepares agenda, and obtains speakers for the meetings. Coordinates the work of the officers and the committees. Coordinates Middle School Parent Meeting. Manages volunteer openings and opportunities. Executes contracts on behalf of FOL. Co-signs checks and is on the FOL bank account. Coordinates school master schedule. Posts FOL events on parent community pages. Liaison with the Principal and teachers and presents matters back to the Board. Fields suggestions, concerns, and requests from the FOL community. Represents FOL at the New Student Picnic, Registration Day and Back to School Night. Defacto committee member for FOL committees. Runs the Zoom account and makes it available to subcommittees for meetings by starting meetings and turning over hosting to a member of the subcommittee. Helps or runs FOL events. Helps at school-wide events as needed. Participates in drafting the annual budget. Approximately 10 hours a week.
Co-Treasurer - Martha Paniagua and Henry Chu
-Two 2-year positions with offset starting years - Receives all monies for the organization and keeps accurate records of receipts and expenditures. Collects and verifies accuracy of time sheets, reimbursements, funding requests, and deposits for monies that FOL holds. Answers inquiries about balances for the monies that FOL holds. Collects AGC donations (parents and matching) and communicates with the AGC treasurer for proper reporting. Collects and tracks money for class dues as requested and sends acknowledgements. Collects money for Grad Bash and Grad Night and disperses vendor checks on bank account. Signs checks. Prepares and distributes Senior Scholarship checks. Presents written financial records at each General meeting. Attends monthly Executive Board meeting. Coordinates food for 1st Tuesday Staff Professional Development, AP testing snacks, and Senior Awards Night. Works with outside CPA to prepare tax returns and maintains 501(c)(3) status. Maintain accurate bookkeeping in Quickbooks which includes monthly bank reconciliations. Helps at school-wide events as needed. Participates in drafting the annual budget and tracks financial results against the budget on a monthly basis. Approximately 5 hours a week.
Secretary - Hollie Lobosky
- 2-year position - Attends monthly Executive and General FOL meetings and takes minutes. Brings sign-in sheet for meetings. Provides minutes to FOL Board to post for approval on Schoology. Maintains records of all notes. Coordinates elections. Prepares special minutes for bank tranfers. Plans and coordinates volunteer appreciation at the end of the school year. Helps at school-wide events as needed. Participates in drafting the annual budget. Helps at or runs FOL events. Approximately 3-4 hours a month. Approximately 20 hours total.

Alumni Outreach - Joey Solomon - communicates with Alumni of LACES when needed - posts on alumni pages & coordinates Career Day
Annual Giving Campaign (AGC) Chair - Raj Raghavan - Coordinates and leads the AGC committee to execute the largest fundraising campaign of the school year. Past efforts include in-person outreach (at Back To School Night, etc), email campaigns, text-a-thons and corporate outreach. This role needs a committee of volunteers, so please let us know if you'd like to help!
Annual Giving Campaign (AGC) Treasurer - keeps accurate records of all donations to AGC.
*BoxTops & Grocery Programs - inform parents of grocery rewards programs that give money back to LACES, including Ralphs, Food4Less, Box Tops and E-Scrip programs.
Car Donations - Thea Golden - process donated cars to the school for cash
*Car Line - the car line is the drop off line of cars that occurs every morning when parents drop kids off in front of the school. Volunteers help guide cars in an orderly procession and keep kids safe, especially at crosswalk intersections.
Communications Chair - co-chairs Marcy Chu and Katie Pace - sends a monthly newsletter out to the whole school from FOL regarding all events, updates and reminders through Fresh Schools, the new FOL web site. Check in with the reps for each class to make sure everything is going smoothly. Posts updates to the FOL Facebook page.
Lead Elementary Liaison - Faheemah Usher - Organizes liaisons to communicate with presidents of the parent community at each elementary school regarding LACES tours, open houses and the Welcome Picnic.
*FIYA After-School Athletics Program - This could be one person or a committee which oversees the program, finds a coach for the sport, posts about tryouts, collects required forms for athletes, registers with FIYA, coordinates with the treasurer, etc.
FOL Scholarship Chair - Jenny Nugent - works with the college counselor to administer the scholarship process, organizes the review of scholarship essays, determines the scholarship recipients, and presents the recipients with their scholarships.
*Gala Chairs - Amanda Kogan, Danielle Peters - coordinate the annual Spring Gala, dinner, dance, auction and fundraiser for FOL. This is done off campus and is adult only. The Gala Committee needs a group of volunteers to make it happen! Please join us!
Grant Writing - Jully Pae - a committee of volunteers interested in grant writing to benefit LACES
Green4Green - Rukshana Alexander - run the recycling program at LACES. We have parents bring their cans and bottles every two weeks and drop them off in front of the auditorium.
Hospitality - Diza Besner - coordinate teacher appreciation week with volunteers to make/bring food and set up. Purchase coffee and bagels or snacks for FOL parent meetings (Joy Lewis).
*LACESBigEats - 2 organized dine-out dates, several restaurants across city to donate to LACES when presented with flyer.
Middle School Parent Meeting (MSPM) Chairs - Juli Welch & Alison Haskovec - choose dates and organize quarterly meetings for 6-8th grade parents with information they need, as well as guest speakers.
New Student Picnic 2026 - Jean Yoo & Clover Linné - work with Ms. Derdzinski and Ms. Lewis to organize lunch for incoming 6th grade families in August.
Spirit Wear - Holly Han, Roslyn Chaplin, Melissa Robertson - organize and manage the sale of LACES merchandise to benefit FOL.
*Volunteer Coordinator - manage and pair up volunteers with their areas of interest. Reach out to volunteers as needed or provide chairs with contact info.
